Prior to joining the family business in 1971, Steven taught African American history in the Detroit Public Schools, studied in Ethiopia, and taught for two years in Zambia at a U.N. sponsored school for refugees. Harold Kalt (President) is the company patriarch. Financial and strategic wizardry are his specialty. Harold encourages the staff to constantly update their skills and improve their level of client service. He and wife, Gerrie are Voyager Club Hosts on various cruise lines and are looking forward to hosting the September 9, 2011 Seabourn Legend cruise from Rome to Monte Carlo. My Recent Trips
I have visited Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, South America, Thailand, Iceland, China, Russia, cruised the Mediterranean twice, and also cruised to Alaska and the Caribbean. My favorite destination was Russia and part of the reason why is that I was there in January when Moscow had the biggest snow storm and had to close all five airports. Luckily, I was on the midnight train traveling from St. Petersburg to Moscow. It was very interesting to see how they dealt with snow removal.
I recently returned from Russia and Las Vegas.

I joined Bee Kalt Travel in 1975 at the age of 20, training under Steven Kalt in the Orient Department, where I was his assistant for three years. I then moved over to the Cruise Deparment, to assist Mrs. Bee Kalt for the following six years. In 1984, I began my family and 'kept my foot in the door' as an outside agent before returning to work in 1997 as Steven Kalt's full-time assistant in the International Department. My travels have taken me to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Europe, the Canary Islands, Madeira, Morocco, Egypt, Israel, Kenya, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

My most recent trips have been an exciting Kenya safari, eastern Australia including the Great Barrier Reef and most recently, Indochina (Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia) where I rode an elephant, sailed down the Mekong and visited awe-inspiring Angkor Wat!
